Why EagleHawk?

If you want to get a jump on the competition, then EagleHawk is just the place. Not only are we a world class academy and best in class summer camp, we are exceptional at every phase of the sport testimonials and compliment what the local wrestling clubs and scholastic programs are doing.

What we mean by compliment is we don’t recruit athletes for the purpose of creating our own travel teams or take time away from an athlete’s high school obligations. Rather, we insist that all our academy students become members of local clubs and attend all scheduled high school events and practices. That is the definition of an Academy; we augment what the clubs are doing while enhancing an athletes chances for success.

What we do better than anyone else is provide our athletes with world class instruction (techniques, strategies and tactics) through focused drilling with other young men and women who have similar goals and aspirations.

We truly believe that those who are destined to win do so because they take advantage of every opportunity that comes their way. One never knows which coach or work-out partner, which experience or explanation will become the “turning point” in a career.

What we do best is teach our students how to wrestle, how to drill and how to prepare for competition. After that it's up to them.

As a regular bonus, we provide video critique assistance. Just provide us with a DVD of some recent matches and the next time we see one another we'll work on those elements the athlete is doing well and those that need additional attention.

Every one of our academy practices is run by our director, Wade Schalles; 16-time National Champion, World Champion and Guinness Book of World Records holder for most wins and most pins. You won’t find anyone that is more in tune with wrestlers’ needs than Coach Schalles. A quick visit to the site’s testimonials will help you understand why he’s known as one of the most innovative wrestling personalities, exceptional educators and successful coaches in the sport's history.

This past season 3 of Coach Schalles' wrestlers won the high school national championships, 4 of them took home the Gold at the state high school championships while 2 others finished second and 32 more earned all-state honors.

EagleHawk Successes

In our very first season we had 249 student-athletes become part of our Academy. Many of those went on to become Junior League, CAWL, and State High School Champions. Considerably more positioned themselves to achieve those honors in the coming years, and as a group our student-athletes pinned over 1,500 wrestlers! That's an incredible statistic when you understand that almost 100 of those EagleHawkers had less than a year’s experience.

This past year our academy grew to 304 student-athletes and had even greater accomplishments. There's no doubt we're the place to be if you're serious about making a jump in your development.

Why EagleHawk is Important to You

Because we’re much more than an ordinary wrestling school; we're a one-of-a-kind educational experience that provides: technique that is far superior to anything the competition is receiving; availability to instructors who stress the importance of sportsmanship and discipline; access to partners that have the same dreams, drive and competency as you. But don’t take our word for it, click here to read what our athletes have said, as well as their parents and coaches.
